ILONA DELL'OLIO

I am Ilona Dell Olio. I grew up in Ferentino, Italy but am now living in  Fuerteventura which is the new base for my ever-evolving artistic journey. This Journey took me through Miami and New York to Brazil, all of which helped to shape my creative influences. The basis of my output as an artist is live painting, which is at the core of my art and music project Lunar Dreams. I love the inherent spontaneity within live performance which unites painting, music and colours in a way that is unique to that particular moment.

I have various works in St-Art Art Gallery, Amsterdam, and have participated in exhibitions around Italy and now close to my home in Fuerteventura.

My works are characterised by being raw and visceral. I use the oil densely, combining brush and spatula techniques to create textural versions of my subjects.  

​

Meeting my partner Chris has had a big influence on my life and work. We surf daily together here in Fuerteventura, and with our project Lunar Dreams, we often perform concerts in Italy and Fuerteventura. We live together in Corralejo, with our cat Tigro, and both have small studio set ups here so we can practice our crafts, to progress and grow artistically together.
